We at GrannyBubba Bakery, named after Co-founder Shay’s Middle Tennessee grandmother’s nickname, are proud of our years of combined experience in the artistic culinary arts. Shay is a perfectionist at cake design and decoration. To Shay flavor and taste being paramount.  Her fiance Christopher Moore agrees.  Christopher is a Baker with impeccable taste, both visual and culinary. He is a fourth generation artist. He has worked for the T.V. Food Network as a Film Maker, before opening the bakery with Shay.

Prior to proudly joining The Knot and the Wedding Channel GrannyBubba Bakery has been featured on Central Florida’s, Bay News 9 and SouthernLiving.com’s Blog on “The 70 Best Pies in America” of the June 2010’s issue, The Wedding Wire as a Five Star, Wedding Cake Bakery as well, as Project Wedding. We have a cornucopia of over 100 variations of cakes, fillings, jams and nuts, which challenge the palette to make a decision. Although we are confident in all of our flavors, not all of them are for a wedding cakes.  Taste needs to please many guest and not just you. We do have our nontraditional specialties such as incredible pound cake with various fillings such as vanilla custard with your choice of fruit and chocolate ganache. You may choose to vary the flavors on each tier of the same wedding cake. You can choose your flavor combination during a consultation and tasting with Christopher and Shay.

GrannyBubba.com is a family owned bakery located in Tampa Bay Area, Florida. We were founded on Valentine's Day by, BELIEVE IT OR NOT,  RECREATING THE WAY AN APPLE PIE IS MADE. BY ACCIDENT, THE THANKSGIVING DAY PRIOR, WE MADE A MISTAKE BAKING OUR PIE.  YET WE WERE TOLD, "THAT'S BEST APPLE PIE I'VE EVER HAD AND WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO SELL YOUR PIES  FOR A PRICE?" - SAID, A TAMPA REAL ESTATE BROKER- WHO'S BEEN EATING APPLE PIE FOR OVER 65 YEARS.      Previously, We prayed about going into business, so on Valentines Day, Christopher got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend, Shay, to consider going into the Dessert Business with him? She said yes, and later to her hand in marriage. So, Christopher Moore of Baton Rouge , Louisiana and Shay Gregory of Hartsville, Tennessee, are engaged to be married soon, and serving desserts to the Tampa Bay Area. (And now shipping it throughout, The United States of America) GrannyBubba's "Best Apple Pie Ever" is our top seller, but we make Custom Cakes as well. "GrannyBubba" was Shay's grandmother, known throughout Middle Tennessee for her down-home southern cooking. So we thought we should name our business in honor of her, since she taught Shay how to cook! Christopher also comes from a long line of great Louisiana cooks. We make a good pair of bakers! Don't we? This is not just our job, it's our passion! And, We do it out of love one for one another and for our God.  And all of this love goes into every dessert and or pie. By the way, now that we've been seen on

Since he and I (Christopher) are both "Sigma Chi's," "The Today Show" with Al Roker.  And, of course The T. V. Food Network since Christopher previously worked there contractually .

We like to say there is nothing we cannot do! Our founding Bible verse is:

 Jeremiah 29:11, which says: "You know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." So our future is now in God's hands. How about that true story? It is our dream to build the finest bakery in Tampa, FL and in the Nation!

Shay on Valentine's Day, the day she and Christopher founded GrannyBubba Bakery. Doesn't she look beautiful? You can see why Christopher fell in love with her, and why our business is prospering. She's the reason all of our desserts are made with love! She's a "P31 or Proverbs 31 lady!"

Christopher is debuting our Tiffany Gift Box cake, beautiful for any occasion. This one is a custom creation for a baby shower for twins. The cake is four layers of strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese filling. Real Men Do Cook, especially if you are from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and L.S.U.! Geaux Tigers!

Christopher's favorite teacher ever, was first grade teacher, Mrs. Dore' at Westdale Elementary in Baton Rouge, LA. 

He graduated with a double major in Political Science and Advertising, "Thank the Lordy" from Louisiana State University, in Baton Rouge , Louisiana.  While there, he studied: Food Preparation and Nutrition from Professor Pulls. He also studied: Advertising, Graphic Design, Demographics. He studied Photography  with Michael Book), (Marketing from Jenny Peters). He later returned to L.S.U. where he earned his English Teaching Certification and took course work in Creative writing, Screenwriting, Short Story and Poetry in the English Program.

He is a Loyal Life Member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, among other accolades.

Christopher and Shay are active members of Hyde Park Presbyterian Church in South Tampa, FL.
